Littlehampton Museum

Located within the Grade II listed Manor House, the museum features interactive galleries displaying collections spanning archaeology, social history, art and natural history.

Visitors can discover local archaeology, including finds from Angmering Roman Villa, a Roman child’s ring discovered in Climping, a rare Anglo-Saxon mount for a hanging bowl, and a hoard of Bronze Age axes found at nearby Flansham. The museum’s natural history displays include fossils, minerals and a small taxidermy collection of local wildlife, while the social history gallery explores the town’s tourism, wartime and maritime stories. More recent additions include a life-sized fibreglass statue from the grounds of The Body Shop headquarters in the town.
The museum also hosts a programme of changing temporary exhibitions throughout the year, ensuring there is always something new to explore.

Families can enjoy children’s trails, dressing-up activities and a ladybird reading corner, while free events and activities take place during school holidays. Additional online exhibitions and digital collections can also be explored from home via the museum's website.
