4Sight Vision Support

4Sight Vision Support (4SVS) is a registered charity which has been supporting children and adults living with sight loss, and their families and carers, across West Sussex for just over 100 years. We offer emotional and practical support after diagnosis, including help to understand individual conditions. We achieve this with a small, highly skilled and dedicated team, and with the support of around 180 volunteers. All of our services are free.

When a client contacts 4SVS a member of our Client Services Team will triage their needs, analysing this so that we can put them in contact with the correct area of our specialist support.

Our holistic and person-centred approach helps our clients maintain independence. We provide dedicated assessments to identify magnifications, techniques and products to help with everyday tasks such as reading, shopping, medication and preparing meals. We assist with accessible technology, accessing education, staying in/finding employment, obtaining financial assistance, promoting health and wellbeing, as well as providing social activities and peer support groups.

Our work is largely self-funded, through donations, community events, our commercial activities and the support of Charitable Trusts and Foundations.

Our Head Office is located in nearby Bognor Regis, and our very active monthly walking group can frequently be seen walking along the river and seafront at Littlehampton, a favourite destination especially in the winter where we can rely on conditions being good underfoot!
