About
The Littlehampton Community Hub provides crisis intervention for people experiencing homelessness during the mornings. In the afternoons, we'd like to invite you to our Community Groups. They are open to all members of the public over the age of 18 aimed at creating community, combating loneliness and improving well being with a range of activities available across the week.
These groups are designed to build communities, improve wellbeing and increase your skills, guided by our excellent team members.
On Monday's we have a Social Group, which is a relaxed session and participants can in any activities they wish in a bid to tackle social isolation .
Tuesday is our Grow Club, where we grow fruit, vegetables and herbs while getting in touch with nature and learning about sustainability.
Wednesday is our Wellbeing Group, and each week brings something different, we may have a gentle fitness session, cooking sessions or self-care workshops in a supportive space where we're trying to encourage people to look at their wellbeing.
All these groups run between 13:00-15:00 and are free to join.
In the coming months, we will be introducing a Fix-It Group on Friday's which will be focused on up-cycling and learning practical skills around DIY.
As well as our community groups, we’re always keen to hear from anyone willing to give up a few hours of their day to either volunteer with us or to even run some one off groups to help broaden the experiences we can offer our community in our group sessions.
As part of our wider mission to end local homelessness, we’re also working to end the stigma of homelessness by creating supportive communities that are coming together to support each other.
